Snow makes a return to South Shore

Just when it seemed like spring was around the corner, snow reared its ugly head again on Presidents Day, Feb. 21.

Rockville Centre residents — and those along the south shore of Long Island — awoke to a fresh blanket of the white stuff for the first time in weeks on Monday, as somewhere between one and three inches of snow left morning commutes slippery and unsafe.
