South Side Middle School student competes in New York Geographic Bee

South Side Middle School eighth grader Nicolas Marcotrigiano was a semifinalist eligible to compete in the 2010 New York Geographic Bee sponsored by Google and Plum Creek. In each of the 50 states, as well as in the District of Columbia and U.S. territories, the National Geographic Society invites students with the top 100 scores to compete at the state level. Nicolas is one of those 100. The Geographic Bee was held at the New York State Museum in Albany on April 9. Shown with Nicolas is eighth grade Social Studies teacher and History Club Advisor
