While Suzanne Sirota Rozenberg, D.O. specializes in Dermatology; she prides herself on seeing people as a whole — not just through the eyes of her specialty. Her boutique-style center, SRS Dermatology, targets the individual care of the entire patient. Her diverse medical background makes this all possible.

After practicing family medicine for a decade, and also specializing in the treatment of varicose veins, Dr. Rozenberg decided to re-train in dermatology and completed a three-year residency program. Now, as a board-certified dermatologist, she runs a medical practice that also offers cosmetic services and treatments.

As program director of the Dermatology Residency Training Program at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Far Rockaway, she also trains residents at her Woodmere practice. Hence, she stays on top of the most up-to-date products, treatments and techniques. And her wide network of professionals — including an aesthetician and a nutritionist — is advantageous to both her and the care of her patients.

SRS Dermatology treats a variety of medical conditions. Among these are eczema, basel cell carcinoma, acne, herpes, molluscum, excessive sweating, nail fungus, rosacea, psoriasis, melanoma, vitilgo, vasculitis and warts.

Cosmetically, SRS offers laser treatments to diminish wrinkles, unsightly veins, scars, age spots, and for hair removal. Microdermabrasion, chemical peels, SRS 3 Layer Skin Rejuvenation, facials, masks, and other techniques are available to improve and resurface the skin. Injections of Botox and Dysport can be administered, as well as fillers like Radiesse, Restylane and Juvederm. Permanent makeup and eyelash extensions are among still more options.

CoolSculpting, an FDA-cleared, safe non-surgical fat reduction procedure, is a popular treatment at SRS. Fat cells underneath the skin are targeted, frozen, and then naturally eliminated by the body. Places like the flank (love handles), thighs, abdomen and double chin can be modified. This is not a weight loss solution for obesity; it’s more of a sculpting process, getting rid of bulges. And there is no down time.

Skin tightening — an uplift, as opposed to a face-lift — can be done with Ultherapy, a non-invasive treatment using ultrasound with the body’s own natural healing process. Designed to tighten loose skin on places like the eyebrows and under the chin, it stimulates the deep structural support layers of the skin without disturbing the surface.

With so many treatments and techniques to choose from, Dr. Rozenberg will evaluate and help each patient come up with a plan most beneficial his or her needs — whether it’s medical or cosmetic. Hours at SRS are 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
