Storm causes two brief power outages

Heavy rain and high winds pummeled the village Monday, causing two power outages. Both damage locations were along Hempstead Avenue and were caused by primary wire damage. The first started at 10:30 a.m. and was repaired by 11:05 a.m. It impacted 190 customers. The second power interruption began at 12:50 p.m. Power at that location was restored by 1:10 p.m. and affected 381 customers.
