Support the Lions Club

To the Editor:

In the spirit of helping others, I would once again encourage members of our Valley Stream community to support the Lions Club’s annual flea market, Saturday, Oct. 17 (rain date Oct. 18). The annual fundraising event will be held in the parking lot of the Arthur J. Hendrickson Park pool complex on Merrick Road. Admission is free, and proceeds from the event, including the sale of pumpkins and mums, will go directly to Valley Stream neighbors in need of assistance.

I hope residents will come out to show their support for the outstanding charitable work of the Lions Club. My wife, Mary Ann, and I look forward to greeting you there.
