Teens robbed in Valley Stream's downtown

Posted

Police are seeking three men who attacked a pair of teenagers in Valley Stream on Monday.

According to police, two teens were on their bicycles in front of 262 Rockaway Ave. — between the railroad tracks and East Hawthorne Avenue — when they were approached by three males, who demanded their property. One of the suspects punched an 18-year-old victim in the face, knocking him off his bike. A second suspect reached into the victim’s pocket and removed his cell phone.

One of the suspects is described as a white male teen. There was no further description of the suspects, who fled through a nearby parking lot, however, police believe the suspects were known to the victims.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
