Women from at least six distinct local organizations collaborated on the Joint Women’s Seder Committee to plan and organize the April 7 event that packed the ballroom of Central Synagogue with more than 200 participants.

With prayers, music, dance and traditional kosher Passover delicacies, more than 200 local ladies packed Central Synagogue’s ballroom on April 7 to celebrate the upcoming holiday with a special women’s community seder. Participants included members of the WRJ sisterhood of Temple Am Echad, the Women of Reconstructionist Temple Beth Emeth, the sisterhoods of the Hewlett East Rockaway Jewish Center and Central Synagogue and the National Council of Jewish Women’s South Shore and Peninsula sections.
