Three from village in Nutcracker this weekend

Danielle Aliotta, Melissa Aliotta and Melissa Marina, all of Rockville Centre, are dancing in the children’s cast of the Eglevsky Ballet’s 2009 production of “The Nutcracker Suite,” this weekend at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts.

Danielle Aliotta is 16 years old and attends South Side High School. Her sister, Melissa, pictured at left, is 8 and attends Wilson Elementary School. Melissa Marina is 13 and attends South Side Middle School. They were among the 66 of Long Island’s most talented young dance students selected through competitive auditions to appear in this year’s production. The Eglevsky Ballet, Long Island’s own professional dance company, presents a spectacular full-length production of the perennial holiday favorite. The production is choreographed by the company’s artistic director, Ali Pourfarrokh. Tickets for production, from Dec. 19 through Dec. 21 at Tilles Center, located on the C.W.
