Town of Hempstead hosts lacrosse academy

The Town of Hempstead recently hosted a lacrosse academy for local players, attended by children from throughout the town at Speno Park in East Meadow. Among the participants in the academy were, from left, Brady and Nicolas Baylis of Merrick, Dan Anderson of Westbury, Samantha Raheb and Kristen Rohan of Bellmore, Michelle Fucich of Seaford, Grace McGowan of East Meadow, and Stephanie Schefer and April Ferraro of Levittown. The kids were joined above by town Supervisor Kate Murray and their coaches. King Kullen Supermarkets provided ice cream for the players in the end.
