The Town of Hempstead sanitation commissioner, Richard Ronan of Merrick, announced recently that he is retiring.
Family members, friends and co-workers gathered at the New Hyde Park Inn to celebrate his retirement in grand style. Town of Hempstead Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby presented a citation to Ronan and offered her heartfelt good wishes to him and his wife, Virginia.
