Toys for Hi-Hello

Posted

Rockville Centre resident Claudia Fernandez, far left, who is a staff member of Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island, helped her colleagues pack the school bus that delivered toys to the Hi-Hello Child Care Center in Freeport. This is the second year that OCLI staff members have donated toys to the center, a not-for-profit organization that provides childcare to children from six months to 12-years of age. Ninety-eight percent of Hi-Hello families receive child care subsidies from the Nassau County Department of Social Services so that children can be cared for and enjoy age-appropriate activities while their parents are at work.
