North Centre Avenue and Park Place in Rockville Centre are among resurfacing projects that Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano announced on Monday. He said the Department of Public Works recently requested bids for the construction phase of the county’s on-going resurfacing program.

“Resurfacing our roadways is an important start to helping build a better Nassau County,” said Mangano.“These projects will allow us to improve our county and create real jobs that put people back

to work.”

The projects under the bid will benefit eight communities and 11 roadways throughout the Town of Hempstead at an estimated construction cost of $4.3 million. In addition to the two projects in Rockville Centre, the county’s resurfacing program will also include: Lawson Boulevard in Oceanside; Long Beach Road in Oceanside and Hempstead; Horton Avenue in Lynbrook and Valley Stream; Milburn Avenue in Baldwin; East Rockaway Road, Main Street and Denton Avenue in East Rockaway; Atlantic Avenue in Baldwin and Oceanside and Salisbury Park Drive in Westbury.
