United Community Party winners thank voters

Posted

To the Editor:

On behalf of the entire United Community Party slate of candidates, volunteers and their families, we would like to thank all of the residents of the Incorporated Village of Valley Stream for their support and votes during last week’s village election.

Our message was clear: Fiscal responsibility, improving parks and recreation programs, and revitalizing our business district. As we campaigned, we listened to you and heard your suggestions as well. We are well aware that flood maps and roads are important, and rest assured they will continue to be a priority for us. With the costs of oil skyrocketing, we will devote as much time and energy to our ongoing road improvement program as possible, without busting the budget. Our Office of Emergency Management will take on the mitigation process of flood mapping, among other tasks.

We will continue to listen and do our best to move Valley Stream forward, and make it an even greater place to live, work, and raise a family.

We also want to thank Joe Margolin and his Citizens Independence Party for their participation in the election process.

Together, everyone achieves more.
