Arts and Crafts Festival hits the boardwalk
On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 27 and 28 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Long Beach Historical Society is sponsoring the third and final Arts and Crafts Festival of the summer on the boardwalk at Riverside Boulevard. Invite your families and friends to stroll, view and support the unique vendors and their crafts. Enjoy the different and delicious foods and desserts from many local restaurants. Cabaret show visits the library
On Saturday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m., Paul Chamlin and Long Beach native Rochelle Breyer Chamlin present their cabaret show “Life Is...” a tuneful, irreverent, and ultimately uplifting journey through life’s ups and downs. Their shows feature an eclectic mix of American songbook standards, musical theater, traditional tunes, folk, pop, and even operetta. The couple appears frequently in New York cabaret rooms and other venues throughout the metropolitan area.
Summer Concert series winds down
Aug. 29: Dave Kellan, who plays rock and soul music, will perform at 8 p.m. on National Boulevard beach.
Aug: 30: Chicago 9, a Chicago tribute band, takes the stage at 8 p.m. on National Boulevard beach.
Aug. 31: Quienta Avenida Band looks to liven the crowd with salsa, cubia, bachata, merengue, and chichi at 8 p.m. on New York Avenue beach.
