Valley Stream 24 greets new hires for school year

Posted

Valley Stream 24 recently held Superintendent’s Conference Day for new and returning staff to meet and mingle in its three elementary schools ahead of the school year. After a welcoming breakfast, faculty met with their principals to discuss expectations for the new year and welcome the new hires. Afterward, everyone gathered for a virtual meeting hosted by Superintendent Don Sturz for a welcome-back message and words of encouragement.

The day also included mental health training with Director of Pupil Services Robert Mueller. The day doubly served as a chance for faculty and staff to get the information, tools, and motivation they needed to hit the ground running as they welcome their students.

“Superintendent’s Conference Day was a great success, and it was awesome to see our new and returning faculty and staff excited to be in our schools, ready to welcome our students back for another year of discovery and achievement,” said Sturz.
