Valley Stream funeral director to join Perry in Lynbrook

Moore Funeral Home Director Martin Clarke is joining the staff at Perry Funeral Home in Lynbrook.

Clarke has served as the Moore Funeral Home director since 1991. Valley Stream holds a special place in the hearts of the Clarke family, as Martin and his wife, Cindy, and children, Erin and Patrick, have shared many wonderful memories in the village.

Beginning with second-generation owners Donald and Joan Moore and then current owners Donna and Marianne Moore, the Moore family took Clarke and his family as part of their own. Clarke said it was an honor to serve Valley Stream families with the values of dignity and compassion instilled by the Moores.

Last June 21, the Valley Stream village board voted unanimously to change the 20,000-square-foot parcel of land occupied by the Moore Funeral Home into a multi-family residential and commercial district. A revised proposal to build an apartment complex at 54 and 68 W. Jamaica Avenue was approved for final site development plan review by the village’s Zoning Board of Appeals on Feb. 28.

Perry Funeral Home has served Lynbrook and its surrounding communities since 1825.
