Formerly Backstreet Blues, Vibe Lounge opened in 2008. The club became known for booking bands like "Taking Back Sundays" and other fine artists. Sheldon Johnson is the owner, who is very much involved in the booking of talents. Publicity is provided by Loaded Rock Shows.

Monday night is open mic, mostly featuring bands, guitarists, singers and song writers. This is the time to "get discovered." Tuesday is comedy night, also open mic, a chance to try out your new material. Wednesday night generally features a DJ, Hip Hop and Karaoke. Thursday is Ladies Night and doors open at 11 p.m. Featured are DJ's spinning the tunes.

Caribbean Fridays is a dance party, with various bands and DJ's in rotation, and a complimentary buffet with two-for-one drinks. Doors open at 11 p.m. Saturday nights start earlier (9:30 p.m.), geared toward all ages, with a DJ, band and/or special guests. Vibe Lounge is usually closed on Sunday, which is reserved for special events or private parties (up to 160 people). The club can be rented out for special occasions.

Vibe's "proofing" process is strictly maintained. Teens who are 16 and 17 must be with a parent. Photo ID is required. If you are under 21, you can come in but not drink alcohol. The club uses bracelets, stamps, scanners and a computerized database to enforce this. Depending on the night and type of entertainment, the age range of the clientele differs. Lately, they've been catering to a more mature crowd.

Seating is spacious and there is enough room to dance, should you be inclined to. Bar food is served, such as pizza and wraps.
