Welcome to the Herald, Joe

My name is Joe Diglio and I am an intern for the East Meadow and Baldwin Heralds. I grew up in the East Meadow area and graduated from W.T. Clarke High School in Westbury.

I am currently a junior at Syracuse University. I am a student in the Renée Crown University Honors Program majoring in newspaper and online journalism in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, with minors in sport management and psychology.

In my spare time I like watching and playing various sports, including basketball, football and soccer. My dream is to be a sports writer.

I enjoy interning at the Herald because it serves as a soapbox for local stories and issues. People deserve to know about these events because they directly impact our communities. I’ve been able to cover so many interesting stories and people, and the staff here has helped me become a better writer. Interning at the Herald has been and continues to be an invaluable experience.
