W.H. school district launches Earth Day event

The West Hempstead school district issued a call for health, fitness and environmental professionals to join the district for its first annual West Hempstead SHINES — sports, health, involvement, nature, environment, sustainable — event on Earth Day, Sunday, April 22.

The event will bring West Hempstead residents together to celebrate their community and preserve their environment. If you have expertise in gardening care, knowledge in nutrition and activity ideas to help inspire the community, district administrators need you to help them “plant a see for the future.”
