W.H. Scout uses Eagle project to help fight obesity

An Eagle Scout Court of Honor was held for Kaleim Antonio Reid, of West Hempstead Boy Scout Troop 240, at Uniondale High School. Kaleim’s Eagle Project supported of Michele Obama’s Obesity Initiative and involved raising funds and renovating an exercise trail at Kennedy Memorial Park in Hempstead to make it appealing and child friendly. Hempstead Town Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby presented a Certificate of Recognition to Kaleim and congratulated him on his significant achievement. Kaleim resides in Uniondale with his parents.
