Winthrop Ave. Elementary celebrates Music in Our Schools Month

To celebrate Music in Our Schools Month, which showcases the importance of music education, third-graders at Winthrop Avenue Elementary School in Bellmore took to the stage for two musical performances. Under the direction of Erica Davis, the chorus and recorder club performed “There Is a Melody,” “Spring Song” and “The Ash Grove.” After the performance, students held a sing-along to "The Sound of Music’s" “Do Re Mi.”
