During its 15 years of existence, the Valley Stream District 13 Educational Foundation has raised more than $52,000 for the elementary school district. Last week, its members met at the James A. Dever School to discuss the group’s efforts for the new year and find more ways to give back.

The Valley Stream School District 13 Educational Foundation began its 14th year of service to the community on Sept. 16. Future meeting dates are Nov. 18, Jan. 13, 2011, March 17, 2011, and May 19, 2011. Meetings are held in the James A. Dever School Library at 3:45 p.m. All members of the community are invited to attend.
