Beginning February 24th 2011, the newsstand price of the Herald will increase to $1.00 to help meet the ever-increasing costs of producing the newspaper. This marks the first increase in the cover price of the Herald in almost 20 years. Covering charitable organizations doing extraordinary work is old news at the newspapers owned by Richner Communications. Now Richner employees have decided to pool their talents and the company’s resources to do more for deserving organizations that could benefit from their expertise. The effort is spearheaded by a committee, called REACT, which stands for Richner Employees Assisting Communities Together.

With this week’s column, the Principal’s Office begins its sixth year. It’s time to look backward as well as forward. But first, a few thank yous are in order.
