Demolition began two weeks ago on the building at the southeast corner of Rockaway Avenue and Sunrise Highway in Valley Stream, the former site of the adult store. It and other neighboring buildings are coming down to make way for a new apartment building, which will include stores on the first floor and 64 housing units above.
