Joe Wilson was a name unknown to most of us until he shouted “You lie!” at President Obama during the president’s address to Congress on Sept. 9. Now, the South Carolina Republican’s name has been circulating throughout every major media source in the U.S. and worldwide. Personally, I don’t think anyone can defend Wilson’s action of disrupting the president’s speech while he was addressing Congress. My friends in Congress tell me this was truly out of character for Wilson, and that he is a genuinely nice person and an honorable man. more

When we walked into the park, my grandson made the introductions. Only 2 years old, he’s on a first-name basis with all the VIPs on the scene. The VIPs are the nannies, of course, and he got big hugs from each of them, since they all freelance as baby-sitters, and most have fed him, bathed him and rocked him to sleep at one time or another. more
