Town of Hempstead officials began preparing for a snowstorm set to hit the area tonight and tomorrow on Dec. 31, when they announced preparations they are making for the blizzard. Supervisor Kate Murray said plowing and salting crews are readying equipment to battle the Thursday and Friday’s storm.
