Ending weeks of speculation, Kate Murray, the Town of Hempstead supervisor and a Levittown Republican, announced Friday that she will not run for Congress this year. Murray’s name had been discussed recently in local and national political circles about who will be the Republican Party’s candidate in New York’s 4th Congressional District.
