The North Bellmore-North Merrick Little League Giants captured the 2011 boys’ 10- and 11-year-old International Division Championship by besting the Cardinals 9-8 on June 18 at the Gunther Elementary School field. The baseball season officially opened for the North Bellmore-North Merrick Little League last weekend. The annual kick-off parade was held on Saturday, and started behind Saw Mill Road School and ended at Gunther Field. more
