The Village of East Rockaway had two tree lightings -- one at Village Hall, and the other on Main Street at Veterans Plaza. The residents marched in a holiday parade -- and some even rode in a horse-drawn carriage -- to listen to holiday tunes, watch dancing by the Dance Space, and enjoy a visit from Santa. more
The Lynbrook Winter Celebration was full of fun, with a petting zoo, lively dancers, carolling, a tree lighting, and a visit from Santa. Local merchants stayed open sell their wares and serve sweet treats and hot chocolate to the chilly crowd. more
Santa Claus took time out from his very busy schedule to make a special visit to Lynbrook families at the Earle Avenue parking lot. Before he said goodbye, he left the children with an early Christmas gift — a movie at the Lynbrook Movie Theater. Ho, ho, ho! more
