Several Sewanhaka Central High School District student athletes participated in the Nassau County Senior Bowl held at Mitchell Field on Nov. 24, Thanksgiving morning.
Elmont Memorial High School quarterback Aaron Ruthman was selected as the game’s Most Valuable Offensive Player.
District students who were also selected to play in the game along with Ruthman included Jayden Richardson and Lucas Mathieu, also from Elmont Memorial, Floral Park Memorial High School’s Liam Flanagan and Cole Horan, New Hyde Park Memorial High School’s CJ Carrick and Steven Chambers, and Sewanhaka High School’s Jovianni Garcia and Alex Cherry.
