Far Rockaway resident Naftali Rhodes, 34, was struck and killed while walking on Central Avenue by a 2016 Freightliner truck headed north on the Nassau Expressway and was being driven by a man, 37, at 1:48 p.m. on Nov. 8, according to the Nassau County police.
