Though there was whispers of dissent from some in the Five Towns, only one resident attended the Monday Town of Hempstead Industrial Development Agency public hearing on whether a proposed five-story mixed use project in Inwood should receive the customary 10-year PILOT (payment in lieu of taxes) agreement or a 25-year deal. more

Along Bayswater Boulevard, Chestnut Street, David Avenue, Peppe Drive and Walnut Road in Inwood 3,500 feet of new eight-inch ductile iron water main and 1,000 feet of six-inch water main will be installed by New York American Water.
