After winter break, Lawrence Woodmere Academy students and staff have come back in full force. We kicked off our first week back with the annual Multicultural Assembly. Performances included songs from students’ cultures, stories of students’ ancestors, and an iMovie of students’ family members who came from different places around the world. This is just another example of how LWA is a true family. It’s moments like these that remind us of who we are and our genuine care for one another. more
Thirteen Lawrence Woodmere Academy students traveled to San Juan in order to help the Hurricane Maria-devastated island from Feb. 13 to 18. Through two reforestation projects and a beach cleanup, the LWA students helped transform a humble community in Puerto Rico. It was an absolute honor to be one of these students. more

One of the many causes that we support at Lawrence Woodmere Academy is pediatric cancer. The Helping Hands club, the school’s service learning program, initiated a schoolwide event to collect funds to be donated to Whip Pediatric Cancer that helps to fund research at Sloan Memorial Kettering Cancer Center. more
