The 26th annual Rock Hall Museum Country Fair in Lawrence celebrated history from having the Redhawk Dance Troupe perform and tell stories to a colonial historian explaining about specific era tools and instruments.

Five Towns Community Chest Fair

The 27th annual Five Towns Community Chest Fair began two hours later than scheduled – at 1 p.m. instead of 11 a.m. – due to the expected rain, but the rides started up, the food was served, the games were played and the booths were manned by representatives from several organizations, including Peninsula Counseling Center, the Five Towns Senior Center, Rock Hall Museum, the Five Towns Early Learning Center, Peninsula Hospital Center and the Town of Hempstead.

Revving up the vehicles at fun car show

Joe Kmiotek of Lynbrook took first for Best Car with his 1938 Chevy at the annual Rock Hall Fun Car Show presented by the Vintage Chevrolet Club of America’s Queens Region was held at the museum at 199 Broadway in Lawrence last Sunday.
