More than 300 people participated in a community-wide food drive hosted by Congregation Sons of Israel in Woodmere last Sunday sponsored by the UJA-Federation of New York that collected enough items
to fill the JCC’s kosher food pantry’s shelves. The items were brought to the pantry during the day.

Emily Simens and her family have donated food to the JCC of the Greater Five Towns’ Kosher Food Pantry in Woodmere many times, so when thinking of ideas for her bat mitzvah project she wanted to involve them somehow.
