The Senior and Junior classes of East Rockaway High School will be holding a Chinese Auction on April 14 at 6:30 p.m. in the main hallway of the school. A variety of items will be auctioned off throughout the night, with partial proceeds being donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. more

The sixth annual Patrick Xavier Owens’ Games were held at East Rockaway High School on Jan. 22. Organized Alan Owens, the games are in the memory his brother, Patrick, a brave young boy who died in 1997 at the age of five. more

Molloy College and East Rockaway Junior and Senior High School athletes, as well as other interested parties, may soon have the fields of their dreams — or at least a decent place to hold their practices and games. The college and county officials recently reached an agreement to upgrade and improve Bay Park’s neglected and often waterlogged ball fields and tennis courts. more
