As the village of Lynbrook's 100th year anniversary of incorporation nears in 2011, the Lynbrook Centennial Committee is reaching out to residents to search their attics and closets for Lynbrook historical memorabilia. One resident, Joe Hubbard, of Olive Place, recently loaned the 100th Committee this vintage 1928 photo of Lynbrook High School's varsity baseball team, coached by Samuel Schandt. Hubbard obtained the photo from an estate sale. Note that the boys in the stands are wearing knickers!
