Beatrice Brown, a senior at John F. Kennedy High School in Bellmore, was recently selected to take part in the National Association for Music Education All-National High School Concert Band.
Brown, a flutist, is the first Kennedy student to be selected for the honor and the first instrumental student selected in the district’s history.
