Calhoun senior Joshua Golub was recently named a Coca-Cola Scholars semifinalist. He was honored at the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District Board of Education meeting last week. He was joined by board Trustee Jonathan Butler and Central District Superintendent Dr. Henry Kiernan.

Joshua Golub, a Calhoun High School senior, was recently named a semifinalist in the 2010-11 Coca-Cola Scholars Program. About 2,100 high school seniors, out of 71,000 applications, are in the running for $3 million in scholarships offered by the program. Two hundred and fifty finalists will be chosen to travel to Atlanta in April for a final interview. more
