Somewhat off the beaten path, The Fin may well be one of best-kept secrets around. Every table was filled at this new and intimate restaurant on the evening we dined there, even though a hurricane was on its way! And, most patrons seemed to be “regulars” — proof of the pudding (or sushi) that management has been consistently pleasing the clientele.

There’s a new sushi restaurant in town. Xaga Sushi Asian Fusion, on Merrick Road in Merrick, recently opened for business, and owners Billy Chin, Alyssa Chen and Tom Li celebrated their ribbon-cutting ceremony with Town of Hempstead Councilwoman Angie Cullin, Clerk Mark Bonilla, Peter DiSilvio of the Nassau County Executive’s Office, Ira Reiter of the Merrick Chamber of Commerce and Nassau County Legislator Dave Denenberg.
