On Monday nights, community members and students from Mepham, Calhoun and Kennedy high schools flood Newbridge Arena in Bellmore to watch the undefeated 14-0 Bellmore-Merrick Bulldogs hockey team take the ice. As the Bulldog players, along with coach Chris Patten, scan the arena and acknowledge the ever-growing support from their loyal fan base, they know that the program has come a long way.

Truth is, she feels quite comfortable there, so much so that she captured second place in the Tri-State NFL Punt, Pass and Kick Championships in the 12-13 year-old division at the Meadowlands Arena recently.
