The annual Wantagh-Seaford non-league baseball game last Saturday under the lights at Farmingdale State College concluded a successful week for both teams as they hit the home stretches of their regular seasons.

Bobbi Colavita brought the Wantagh girls lacrosse to big heights after founding the program in 1997 and now a new leader is taking the baton. Jaclyn Coyne, a former Division High School standout who played at LIU- Post, took over as Wantagh’s head coach for the 2014 season with Colavita remaining on staff as an assistant.

The Kennedy High School science department is sponsoring its first-ever Health and Career Fair in the school’s cafeteria on Tuesday, March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. The fair is open to the public, and all are welcome, said Barbi Frank, a Kennedy Advanced Placement biology teacher and one of the event’s organizers.
