Old friends caught up on what’s been going on in their lives since their days at Lynbrook High. The newly-formed St. Agnes Cathedral School Alumni Association held its first ever All Class Reunion Celebration and All-Star basketball game in May at the St. Agnes Parish Center and gym. This event, which was also a school fundraiser, netted a total of $34,117. All proceeds will go toward the renovation and modernization of the school science lab. more
The Rockville Centre Board of Education held its annual reorganizational meeting on July 6, and reorganize it did. In one of their first acts, members of the board elected new officers for the 2010-11 school year. Trustee Liz Dion took over from Mark Masin as president, Masin became the board’s secretary and Stephen Kriss will continue as vice president. more
Ninety nine members of the class of 2010 were graduated from St. Agnes Cathedral School on June 11. The baccalaureate Mass was the culmination of a week-long celebration which included a Communion breakfast, a trip to Great Adventure and a graduation dance. An awards ceremony that recognized the students’ academic accomplishments and service was held on June 10. more
