The North and Central Civic Association hosted an “After the Holidays Egg Hunt” on Saturday, April 30, at Fraser Park in North Merrick.
Eager children scoured the park in search of Easter eggs, and all ended the day with bucketfuls of goodies. Even the Easter Bunny made an appearance. The hunt was followed by a matzo ball toss.

The eggs may have been hidden in plain sight, but that didn’t detract at all from the fun in the gym at St. Christopher’s School during the Easter season.
Some two dozen youngsters (and their oldsters) were on hand to scramble for the barely-concealed eggs. Prizes and treats went to the most efficient egg hunters. (And everyone else as well.)

East Rockaway Recreation hosted its annual Easter Egg Hunt last Saturday — and even the wind and a little cold air couldn’t keep away the local children — or the Easter Bunny, who showed up to greet the crowd.
Eggs were scattered around the John Street Complex starting at 10 a.m. as children scramled to collect them — many hoping to find the coveted Golden Egg (for a special prize.) Every child went home with a bag of goodies (put together by members of Life’s Worc in East Rockaway) and with a smile on their collective faces. Happy Easter!
