Storm leaves thousands without power
Winds and rain from the storm on Wednesday night have left thousands of homes without power, according to PSEG Long Island. As of Thursday at 4;45 p.m., the utility reported that 8,893 households out of its 1.1 million customers on Long Island and the Rockaways do not have power.
