Bellmore native Debbie Miller has traveled coast to coast on her musical journey, finding herself back in New York this month for the debut of her newest album, “Measures and Waits.” Currently living in Seattle, Miller will return home for the release of her second album at Rockwood Music Hall in Manhattan on March 31. more
An 81-year old male pedestrian was struck by a car at about 6:40 a.m. on Sunday morning, Nassau County Police said. The unidentified pedestrian was hit by a 70-year-old male driving a 2005 Jeep Wrangler southbound on Bedford Avenue. more
When Mepham High School sophomore Sabrina Mastrangelo, of Bellmore, captured the title of Miss Long Island Teen last August, it was only her second pageant. So she was more than a bit surprised when, in her third competition, she was named Miss Teen New York. Sabrina spent her early years in East Rockaway and attended Rhame Avenue Elementary school until the 5th grade. more
