She twice qualified for the New York State High School Cross-Country Championship, and ended her high school career last spring by capturing the Nassau County steeplechase title. more
The Sacred Heart Catholic Youth Organization seventh-/eighth-grade girls’ soccer team was the runner-up for the 2013 Nassau County CYO Championship title. The championship game was played at Town Park in Merrick on Sept. 17. Sacred Heart fell to St. Dominic’s of Oyster Bay 2-1 in the match. more

The Bellmore-Merrick Cougars sixth-grade travel basketball team recently won the Division 1 Super League Championship in double overtime, 60-59. It was the first time that a sixth-grade team took the Super League crown. more
