Two South Side High School graduates, Steven Kane and Adam Vojdany, fraternity brothers at Duke University, hosted a 3-on-3 charity basketball tournament at the Recreation Center on Aug. 14, raising money for Hoops for Hope, an organization that uses donations to help children afflicted with HIV/AIDS in South Africa and Zimbabwe. more

Covert Elementary School Principal Darren Raymar feted second and fourth grade ESL students for their accomplishments this past school year with a June 21 sit-down brunch in his office. The five students were honored with certificates of achievement for their involvement in school activities and participation in a state-wide TESOL contest. more
