While walking his dog at Ferry Beach near Sound Beach and Bayville avenues, a 38-year-old man discovered the body of a newborn inside a plastic bag on Saturday at 4:50 a.m. Second Precinct police and a Nassau County police medic responded and pronounced the newborn at the beach. The Homicide Squad is investigating the death.
