Per Sempre Lodge #2344 was instituted into the New York Grand Lodge, Order Sons of Italy in America on October 5, 1975. It began as an auxiliary to the Per Sempre Lodge, but became its own lodge on Feb. 2, 1977. Both lodges called the town of Rosedale, Queens their home for over ten years, and quickly became active members in the community, sponsoring sports teams, instituting scholarships in local schools and marching proudly with our banner in local parades. In 1998, they moved to the town of Cedarhurst, Long Island. Once again, they became an active part of the community. more
Piccolo Ristorante hosted the Bellmore Sons of Italy’s second annual Pancake Breakfast Buffet this past weekend. The event, which Giovanni Caboto Lodge No. 2372 sponsored, drew a crowd from the community. Piccolo served pancakes, waffles, eggs, sausage, coffee and juice. All proceeds will go to benefit Bellmore families in need and local community food banks more

The 2009 Beach Tennis USA National Championship demonstrated two days of exciting, fast-paced action in Long Beach over the Labor Day weekend. Teams from all over the world competed using paddles rather than conventional tennis racquets, and the European athletes, who have played with paddles for years, were the teams to beat in this tournament. more
